Why Should I Join the Best Little Club in North Texas?

A Membership to the North Texas Aeromodelers is a life time achievement for many people.  Each person that has joined our club has prospered in both wealth and knowledge.  Unfortunately, all have squandered that wealth and knowledge on another RC airplane!  North Texas Aeromodelers have been flying in Denton since 1979 when the club field was established.  Since then, the club has grown and evolved into a great community that fly all sorts of aircraft.  We are a smaller club, but are growing more and more every day.  Being a club member helps to grow the club as a whole and gives you access to training and assistance with setting up your new airplane or helicopter, as well as flight training from our veteran fliers.  Although the club land is owned by the city of Denton under the parks and recreation department, the city does not maintain the land and keep it "flight ready".  Your support and dues helps to maintain the runway by providing mowing services and any heavy equipment rentals.  Further support goes to maintaining the pits and starting stations.

What are my dues used for?

The majority of your club dues go right back to maintaining the field and upgrading its facilities.  This includes anything from repairing the work tables to renting heavy equipment to pack down the runway and everything between.

How Much?

Yearly dues to the North Texas Aeromodelers are $50 for adults and $15 for youngsters under 18.  If you decide to join in the middle of the year, you pay the $50 and your dues will be prorated for the next year.  A valid AMA card or number must be presented to become an official member of the North Texas Aeromodelers.  Just come to any meeting or contact an officer to sign up!
